How New Carpet Installation Works
- You choose the carpet at the Mississauga carpet showroom. Its width and pattern decide where seams can go, so the carpet comes before anything else.
- We measure the rooms, closets, stairs, and landings, along with the doorways and the floors the new carpet will meet.
- You get a written quote that lists each part of the job, so you can compare it and ask about anything that's missing before you approve it.
Before Installation Day
- Agree who moves furniture, electronics, and fragile items.
- Confirm which flooring and underpad come out, and who takes them away.
- Keep pets and children out of the rooms being worked on.
- Ask the carpet installers whether any doors will need trimming to clear the new carpet.

Can you give a price without seeing the rooms?
We can give a rough figure from room sizes and photos. The final quote needs the measurements, the carpet you have chosen, and what is under the current floor.
What affects the cost of carpet installation?
The carpet and underpad you choose, the area, the number of stairs and landings, whether the old floor comes up, and how much preparation the subfloor needs. Patterned carpet and rooms with many corners also use more material.
Will there be seams?
In most homes there will be at least one, because carpet comes in rolls of a set width and wide or L-shaped rooms are bigger than one roll. Ask where they will fall before you approve the quote.
How do I compare carpet installation quotes?
Line them up item by item: carpet and quantity, underpad, removal, preparation, stairs, seams, and transitions. A lower total can mean something is missing from the list.
